Re: [Harp-L] 1st Time on Stage - What a Rush!
hi all,
i too have had my first two times up with a friend's band and must say it was really a lot of fun, the last time we played a blues song with each guy getting a solo shot, i also could not hear myself playing and was using a vocal mic, but everyone said it was sounding good both the guys in the band and the folks in the bar, i don't have a clue what song it was, just that it worked well on a hohner blues band in A and in the key of E, these guys do crank it up but that's what i like, just tried to to hear the band and the chord changes,,,,, making the first step from the couch to a group setting is enough to charge up any harp guy and maybe inspire a little extra practice....take care

Thanks to all who offered help to me on some songs for a wedding
reception.
It was quite the rush playing on stage for the very first time. I was
able to play
along on Angel Eyes; Changes in Lattitudes; When You Say Nothing at All:
and a couple of others.
I played through a vocal mic and PA but could hardly hear myself.
That was
a little terrifying but I had a great time anyway.
Thanks again.
Denny
