[Harp-L] Tongue Flutter/Tongue Trill

I know this is an old topic (aren't they all?) but it's still an
interesting one for me; hopefully for some of you too.

In December 2007 I asked the list about tongue flutter:

and tongue trill:

Both techniques require making the sound, oddly enough, with tongue
movement alone. I can't do tongue flutter, though I can make a
beautiful trill by rotating my head back and forth, side to side.
I've done it that way for 35 years, so have had time to perfect it.
The people that responded to my thread had some great ideas about
learning tongue flutter, which I've incorporated into my infrequent
practice sessions. Not there yet, but I'm making progress!

This long winded opening is to introduce what I really want to say.
Harpman1896, a.k.a. D.W. Gill, has a video lesson on YouTube
entitled "Trill Truth Revealed", where he walks you through the
basics with a Marine Band harmonica in the key of A.  Have a look;
he's not the most articulate teacher, but it's a good lesson
nevertheless. Just to confuse things, what he calls trill I call
tongue flutter. Whatever it is, it's a good technique to have.
