[Harp-L] Philadelphia Harmonica Club

Dear Harp-L,

The Philadelphia metropolitan area (including Southeast Pennsylvania, South
Jersey, and Delaware) is blessed with a number of worldclass professional
harp players. And yet for reasons that are unclear to this long time lurker
there has never been to my knowledge a formal or informal harmonica club.
Shyness? Perhaps. Insecurity, being positioned between the big apple and our
nation's capital? Possibly.

Well, I have two words for you................ Philadelphia Phillies.

This is our year! If you have any interest in a harmonica club please let
your voice be heard.

Whether you're from a blue state or a red state. Whether you're from the
Diatonic Party or the Chromatic Party (or even if you favor a third
position), stand up and be heard. We don't care if you suck, blow, or even
overblow -- all are welcome. If you are a chromatic player there will
probably be someone there to push your buttons. No matter what your skill
level you will always have something to learn, something to teach, or both.
The only requirement is a love of the harmonica. Everything else is up for
negotiation, including the name.

Please e-mail Fred Akins who will collect all of the responses. His address
is:

fredrider51@xxxxxxx

Feel free to let us know your skill level, whether you play primarily
diatonic or chromatic, where you live (city and state) or any other
pertinent info.

Sincerely,

Michael Martin Cohen
