Re: [Harp-L] My version of Summertime played on Beta harp
I guess that the appreciation of music is subjective... If we all liked the
same things the world would be a boring place!
"Summertime" is a lullaby, so perhaps the player was a little "too
pounding"...
But WHAT fantastic playing.
I loved it!
A player of the future, they should achieve great things!
In my humble opinion.
Best wishes

The only thing that was missing was the kitchen sink. Everything else

Too harsh and too pounding for my palate, particularly for this kind
of mellifluous song. I wasn't drawn into this rendition and to me, the
improv didn't tie well into the main theme.
But, as Nietzsche writes, "All life is argument over taste".
