Actually my thought was to extend the fiber further into the mouth to see what is going at different depths.............The test subject would have to play a different hole than the one that the fiber is introdused through since it would interfere with the reeds in that hole. The person playing the harp must be able to play with the interference of the fiber and possibly have a redused gag reflex.....................Anyway, just a thought ...........Dane Paul

They did that in the Bahnson experiment. What it shows is visible reed action inside the harmonica. All you can see of Howard's body is a little bit of lip and maybe tongue tip - not enough to get any idea what he's doing to make a bend happen - that's where the ultrasound comes in.
