2nd position is good for rock--a lot of rock tunes use a major pentatonic
scale and the layout in 2nd is perfect. No bending required. Pretty much
everything on Live Dead you can do in 2nd. And of course once you learn a
major pentatonic scale you also know the relative minor pentatonic scale.
And thanks to the wonderfully convoluted harmonica nomenclature--even though
you're playing exactly the same notes, you are somehow in a different
position.
