Re: [Harp-L] Reality check?

Front line might be considered anyone who is serious about this instrument
(teaching, performing, customizing, etc), making a living or going for it in
order to make a living, as well as those who treat their hobby seriously. You
don't have to travel overseas to be on the front line.

Those considered successful may venture into this discussion in order to
give their view/experiences and help enlighten those who are interested. It may
help those attempting to become more successful.

For instance, the comment on socialized health care as a consideration and
playing overseas offering more opportunities was very interesting and no doubt
useful information.

The "L" allows all levels to interact with each other. The general question
is a valid one. How are the realities of the world economy impacting what you
do and your ability to generate income while doing it?

I (my opinion) think that the only ones who can give you a
definitive answer to your queries are those who are able to actually
travel overseas. Anyone whom can do that can be considered
successful. Problem is, I don't see why they would venture into this
discussion.
