Re: [Harp-L] Harmonica math
Hi Dave
I don't know if this is relevant, and I bring it up 'cuz I'm trying to discover the more undocumented potential of this device, but the Turbo Tuner (ST 122) does the math for you if you set it up to display note frequency. When you select a note (of any pitch standard, A4=444 e.g., within any temperament you've set up) the frequency in Hertz is displayed. As you alter the note by + or - cents, the display reflects the new pitch in Hertz (to 2 decimal places).
If you've got the tuner at hand, it will give you some interesting info that would otherwise have to be looked up or figured out - kind of neat.
Cheers,

Anybody have the math for converting Hertz to cents. I know that relationship changes with frequency, but I figure there's a table somewhere, if not, I know math exists, if anybody knows that formula, I'd love to know it. Might not be able to work it out, but I'll try.
