RE: [Harp-L] Smoke Rings and Wine (and sharp keys on the chromatic)



On "East of the Sun" he uses a G chromatic for a tune in Ab, while on "Soul Station" he uses an A chromatic to play in Bb. Both choices put him in Db position. This is a case of choosing one of the more extreme flat-key positions (and one of his apparent favorites in those days).
