Re: [Harp-L] Standing up or sitting down

I used to always play standing up, especially when playing amplified gigs with a full band. Now, probably due to my old age, I find I am a lot more relaxed and play a whole lot better, acoustic and amplified whilst sitting down, usually on a bar stool.
What do you think, is this normal or am I just lazy old git ?

Because of my health issues I started using a bar stool about a year ago. My guitarist has only one leg so he always uses a stool. At first it felt a little lame. Now that I am used to it and use the stool as a prop. I am very comfortable with it and when I feel the energy I stand up and get the crowd going. Muddy Waters used a chair so does James Cotton and many others. Do what makes you comfortable and make it part of the show.
