[Harp-L] RE:SugarBlue & Harp Heaven

I have to concur. I flew to St. Louis and caught Sugar Blue at BB's. It
was a truly religious experience. His band was hotter than even the old
Butterfield Blues Band I heard back in 60's and Sugar is now coming from a
different whole world of harmonica with his always amazing chops. I can't
believe Popper & especially Ricci don't owe him some credit for inspiration.
His new CD I think helped him make it through some tough times. (He told me
"Code Blue" is "something special" and I feel it truly is). The "Harp Hero"
was also totally down to earth and real hanging out with us. He even jammed
a little acoustic harp duet with me after the show. I thought I had died
and gone to harmonica heaven.

But the week is still young yet, Jason Ricci is coming to town (Colorado)
and I should get hear him & the New Blood at least twice this week. Also my
new band (Papa Juke) is going to be on www.bluestv.org (the live Tuesday
Blues TV Show in Boulder County) & will be playing the Outlook on Thursday
with Jason coming there on Saturday. You can probably sense I am pumped up
for this week. Thank you Sugar Blue, a true harp hero!
