1. Blues scale : We change it every time we play. Listen to Buddy Guy in full raging glory.
2. Onstage setup : As a former guitarist I go with the old school . My technique and sound are oriented towards using the same hot vocal mic I sing through. I carried too much gear for too long ! This also gives me control over the vocal / harp mix . I only bring a few harps onstage, usually in vest or coat pockets. If they play in some other key, I sit out or sing some backup . Sometimes people want to hear the rest of the band , and you can come back in strong .
3. Vibrosonic : Somewhere in your town some guitarist with a vibrolux, super or bassman is craving your amp . Find him and trade before you start butchering your amp . You will get a lighter amp, better size speakers, and the 2 power tube chassis is much better for harp.
