Hi Joe - These players can be classified as diatonic players. Some can blow some great blues Chrome though...Garth Asmussen can do some nice delicate stuff on the chromatic when he wants to...

This is great news Frank. I have been gone from 'tha Burg' for these 11 years now, and when I left, I wasn't aware that there was much going on harp wise. This seems like quite a few players. A pity I only get back up there every couple years (usually after the Buckeye). I usually hang with my old friends at the jazz society or maybe do something with Kenny Blake. I (myself) hadn't played much diatonic since the Nashville North shut down, and they had that fire at the Thunderbird.

These great harpsters play in PITTSBURGH - Sam Blancato, Andy Gabig, Bob Beach, Willie Tri, Doctor Blue, John Hegedus, Johnny Rooster, Garth Asmussen, Joe Lodovici, Perry ?.

Is that Perry McCall?

..I'm Sure that I am forgetting some? Yea, I did - WVa Bob reminded me of -Lucy Van Sickel, oh and don't forget Marc Reisman....Who am I missing?

Can't forget Pittsburgh Blues - Legend; the late GREAT : James King
