Re: [Harp-L] Jeff Healey

thanks for that Manfred....

Jeff was astonishing when it came to knowing guitar lines that were native to traditional blues songs. Even with his world famous status (in the 80's) he would drop into small clubs and sit in with anyone who was playing blues.

It knocked me out that he actually knew the line to a Sonny Boy II tune, not always a main stream tune either.

Toronto will certainly miss Jeff Healey. He was harmonica friendly. Both diatonic and chromatic harmonicas were welcome at his regular jam sessions at Healey's. On his album "See The Light', Jeff himself plays harp on "Don't Let Your Chance Go By". "Cover to Cover", another album, features both Jerome Godboo and John Popper on the harmonica.
