Re: [Harp-L] Big Walter CD suggestions
There is a brand new live Big Walter from 78' with
Johnny Nicolas and Ronnie Earl called 'Bocce Boogie(that's pronounced
Bachee) on the Topcat records label.
I would also suggest the Jimmy Rogers complete Chess recordings,
and a live Cd produced by Linwood Slim called 'Walter 'shaky' Horton
Live'.
Really, all that has been mentioned are great recordings and IMO you
can't
go wrong with any Big Walter in your stack.

Two that I think are great:
Little Boy Blue (Live at the Knickerbocker)
And as a side man on The Essential Otis Rush - The Classic Cobra
Recordings
1956-58. This has to be one of the best blues CDs in my collection. Otis
Rush just drips with soul and Big Walter's harp weaves beautifully with
Red
Holloway's tenor sax.

Big Walter is definitely under represented in my CD collection. Which
CDs
should I look for next? I've got *An Offer You Can't Refuse* and the
album
with Carey Bell.
Thanks for the help!
