To my surprise the above link worked but here it is in a shorter version:
_http://www.youtube.com/v/JQXyBuyAomQ&hl=en_
(http://www.youtube.com/v/JQXyBuyAomQ&hl=en) . Unfortunately, there must have been a glitch when posting this
video - there is no coherent text to describe the video. Otherwise, I found
the video to be a persuasive argument in support of the benefits of
customized harps.
Too bad this didn't come up about 2 weeks ago when we were discussing the
"why custom harmonicas?" thread. Jason Ricci also has a YouTube video on
Harrison harps -- _http://youtube.com/watch?v=V8raarJvONo&feature=user_
(http://youtube.com/watch?v=V8raarJvONo&feature=user) . Jason also has another video
about his custom harps in which Brad and Joe Spiers are prominently
mentioned: _http://youtube.com/watch?v=aKSul5UQtqA_

Thanks to Smo Joe back then for his efforts in trying to explain how
someone of Charlie McCoy's caliber (or any player, for that matter) can be
satisfied not playing up to their full potential. Charlie can always buy a stock
harp anywhere if his working harps die. In the meantime, he could be playing
even better than he usually does, if he used better playing harps.
