I'd make one, I think. I'd probably use a piece of wood or deer antler. I killed a three point this year and I've been waiting for some projects... a whitetail antler reed plinker and reed support shims are in the works now. 
What you'd do is get a wood ball, like a small drawer knob or something, or carve one, whatever. Sand it to size and shape. You could get a very small drill bit and drill holes parallel to the width of the slide, then run a small file or something to clean it out inside. Put some glue in there and slide the slide in. You could get really creative with this and have some cool slide buttons. Just make sure that it is not too big or too heavy that the weight of it will compromise the slide.
