The anime series "Cowboy Bebop" has harmonica music throughout, but one
episode is specifically about a harmonica player and features some great
blues harmonica. The episode is called "Sympathy for the Devil" -- yes,
there are tons of references to Western blues/jazz/rock throughout the
series. I believe most of the harmonica music for this series is by a
Japanese band called The Seatbelts.
Bound For Glory is a biographical film about Woody Guthrie and contains
quite a bit of David Carradine (as Guthrie) playing harmonica. It's
quite good if you like folk-style playing.
I haven't seen the movie adaptation, which is apparently very dark and
very good for a Disney production, but Ray Bradbury's book, Something
Wicked This Way Comes, features a harmonica as an important story element.
In the film Manhattan, Woody Allen's character receives a harmonica as a
gift, remarking that he always wanted one. You can hear him play it
just a little bit through the rest of the movie. It's too bad he never
took it up like he did the clarinet!
