Re: [Harp-L] Ideal Trio and dancing women
Welcome. Good post, however I disagree with:
"American audiences (where one can find one
these days) are now very sedate. If you are looking for an audience of
gorgeous dancing women, they generally go to clubs that don't have live
music. Also, with a few exceptions, young Americans could care less
about any music not immediately contemporary, and it's mainly on the
internet; older Americans aren't going out"
Dude, you have to stop hanging out at the Red Hats, AARP meetings and old folks homes :^) You're definitely not going to the same places I am, that's for sure. And I don't live in a big city.
When I'm traveling around the US (and world) I have no problem finding out where the hot spots are. Yeah, it takes a little more work than the glory days I remember back in the 70's, when the drinking age was 18, drunk driving was like littering, and we drank in my high school social studies teacher (and football coach)'s bar on weekends.
Thankfully they cracked down on drunk driving (unless you are a politician or cop of course), but I still think if 18 year olds can go to war and get killed, they should be able to have a d@mn beer.
