Re: [Harp-L] Seeking: Muddy Waters / Little Walter alternate take ofRock Me Baby

It is on Rollin' Stone: The Golden Anniversary Collection by Muddy Waters (Audio CD - 2000) for sure (all 3 versions of it), and also on the 9-cd box set Complete Muddy Waters (along with some other rare Little Walter gems).

  Greetings ...
I once had the best double CD set but somehow have lost it. Or perhaps some
blues phantom stole it from me!
  >From memory it was an early collection of blues, doo-wop, and R n B songs,
perhaps all of which were unreleased, not sure.
I think they may have been from the Chess vaults, but can't be sure of that
  either.
What I can be sure of is that it was a double CD set, with a blue CD insert
cover, and definitely the mention of the word "Vault" on it.

There were a few classic blues cuts on it and one was by Muddy Waters backed
  by Little Walter on harmonica.
The track was (if I remember rightly) Rock Me Baby. It was an alternate take
  and it absolutely rocked.
The best of Little Walter backing someone. His harp work was absolutely
  brilliant.

I'm posting this just in case there might be someone who knows of the song
  OR the album / CDs.

I guess I'm not as good a google searcher as I thought.

  Regards,
  Nate
