If I was just starting out I'd certainly do worse than these.

and swap the 12ax7 V1 with a 12au7  ( have several vintage mil-spec 12au7's
excess to my needs)

and a mid 50's vintage shure 520 green bullet with original Controlled
Magnetic hi-z cartridge. (I have one of these also excess to my needs)

you would have to get a guitar cord and a 5/'8" to1/4" adapter.
