Re: [Harp-L] Any difference between controlled reluctance and controlled magnetic mics?
Hi,
cr was build in 1949 to 1951 in Chicago = Black label starting with 100 nr s
after shis time they called it CM and some changes in Material
and Windings. CR you see direktly ( the small metall disk on the centerpin )
Code nr. please ask Tom Scott ( mr grenn Bullet ) he told me the code and it is his work of finding .
Technik = no differenz
Sound Black L or White L ( the true is egal) i heard bad black CRÂs and very good CM even from Mexico.( But historys make a good price )
You can do a alot of changings in Sound to the elements.
Windings . The biggest changing are the Windings from 50 up to 2400 Ohm and even more iÂve seen.
Every Element can sound greate.
Small impedance elements need Transformer ( 15 $ ) and it gets a kick.
Even to take away the windings of 50 ohm and put on 1300 Ohm is a nice work.e to get a
Changing the Magnet is the biggest chance to get a killer element.
Best regards
