Re: [Harp-L] RE: Rank Amateur Question - Do I have a couple of bad harps?

In what way are the notes not right? A little more detail would be very helpful in making a diagnosis.

Do you have those keys of harp among the Special 20s and Suzukis you now own? if not, it might be a problem related to your mouth resonance or breathing that only shows up in those keys. If you do own those keys in other models and they work fine, then it suggests a problem with the individual harps, and then it could be a matter of reed adjustment or airtightness.

Symptoms, please.

I
have
two
harps
that
I
just
cannot
get
the
two
and
three
and
draw
right
on,
an
"A"
Hohner
Big
River
and
a
"G"
Hohner
Blues
Harp.
Love
the
comb
size
on
the
Big
River
and
the
mellow
tone
of
the
Blues
Harp.
I
have
no
problem
on
these
notes
with
my
Special
20's
or
my
Suzuki's.
Is
it
me
or
the
harps?
Or
is
there
even
any
way
to
tell
from
the
information
I've
given?
