I have only ever heard of 2 or 3 famous harmonica players.
Stevie Wonder and Bob Dylan.
They are the only ones who transcended into any kind of worldwide fame.
All the rest are just big fish in a relatively small pond.
Nearly all the people in the street know who Bob Dylan or Stevie Wonder are. They possibly even heard of Larry Adler as well.
But if you ask most people who Kim Wilson, Rod Piazza, John Popper, etc, etc are, they will just look at you like you are from Mars.
But maybe you will be the next big name. Who knows.
