of all the nominees i think steve guyger is most deserving of the award , hes been playing the blues for four decades including stints with the great jimmy rogers, i love the way rick estrin plays but he has had alot of exposure and so has hummel,Â
guygers playing is great!Âno one out gets his tone he doesnt need any special amps or mics he just plays the blues, like its supposed to be played and he never plays the same thing twice and its always deep blues. i think his best playing on record is the cd he did with paul oscher called living legends on blues leaf label.check it out
