Hey, harpers.
The post on Billy Gibbons on harmonica, made me post a slideshow of
one of the best days of my life, when I got to jam with Billy on
harmonica.
I posted the slide show here: http://www.examiner.com/x-448-SF-Radio-Examiner
and the story of how it happened.
In reference to his playing: he has James Harmon on some ZZ cuts, but
Billy can hold his own with the best of them. Billy played my
harmonica (a Turbo harp he wanted to try) and my Danelectro amp.
Then I played on the best version of "Jesus Just Left Chicago" anyone
has ever heard. It's easy for me to say that cause I screwed up the
tape player and it didn't record.
In my mind, though, nothing could have sounded better. I wish I had
audio for you all. You know how if you play with someone great it's
easy to play above yourself? I'd have to say that happened here.
Enjoy:
Brad
