[Harp-L] The Harmonica Comb Experiment

Hello Harp-Lers,

This is Matthew from the Hetrick Harp Co. If you didn't know we make
harmonica cases www.harpcase.com.

We are expanding our business to sell wooden harmonica combs. They are made
from food safe maple. These combs are cut on a high speed machine so they do
not have imperfections that will make a harp leaky. They are just about
perfect, smooth and cut to specs. These combs are sealed with 100% pure
bees wax. This sealing process does not leave any wax residue on the comb.
It just seals the wood to make the reed plates and comb airtight.

We are currently making models for Lee Oskar, Hohner Special 20, Hohner Big
River/Blues Harp and Bushman Delta Frost. If you would like a natural tone,
you can buy these combs and switch out your plastic combs for wood.

We are also going to make them for Hohner Golden Melody. We are just
working out some kinks with the design. These should be available soon.

This is an experiment because we are not sure if we are going to start
selling these in mass quantity. It depends on the interest.

The price is $18.00 per comb + shipping. We are not making a lot of money
on these. Just trying to cover our costs for having the combs cut.

If you are interested in these combs please email me. We only have 10 of
each model for this test run. These will go quiickly.

I hope everyone has a nice holiday.
