My two cents worth...if it hasn't already been said. My apologies if it
has.

In the cross-harp style, and Blues chromatic, most "hard" playing is
done on the draw, not the blow for most people, unless you're heavy into
overblowing bends. And even then, the pressure is applied in more of a
spitting posture than an all-out blowing one.

i can see it being an issue for trumpet players and such.  but i don't
think
that harmonica players create nearly the kind of pressure that horn
players
do (the OP spoke of "wind instruments").  i think the concern on this 
list is
misplaced or overblown (so to speak).
