Notice how when he wants vibrato, he rocks the body of the instrument - just like you would with an accordion - instead of using throat, tongue, diaphragm, etc.
I still say a harmonica player could bring a whole new dimension to the accordin, by actively using the vocal tract and respiratory apparatus as more than just air supply.
