[Harp-L] RE: Roland Bass Cube and the Cube RX

Greg,

About two years ago I started using a Roland Micro Cube (the standard model) which I liked for alot of reasons except not enough bass response. I thought the Roland Bass Cube might be the answer.

So I checked e-Bay awhile back for a listing for a Bass Cube and there was a used one for sale by a guy who bought one for harmonica and said in the listing that he didn't like it for harp, thus the reason he was selling it on eBay. I corresponded further with this fellow and he told me he got a Roland Micro Cube RX instead and he recommended it for harp.

On his recommendation I bought my Roland Micro Cube RX which is different than the Bass Cube and far superior to the regular Micro Cube. I have been using my Cube RX daily for about 9 months. I especially like the three knob tone controls (low, middle, high), and the four speaker stereo sound. You can make yourself sound as clean as you want, or by setting the various effects controls you can get some pretty amazing deep overdirven sounds with this little amp.

Roland makes several small battery operated models suitable for busking. I have also tried, but not owned, the Roland Street Cube. In my opinion, the Roland Micro Cube RX is the best one for harmonica.
