[Harp-L] Kim's amps Cadillac Records

Maybe some of you are wondering what Kim used for amps, I received one nasty
email for trying to be clear and not misleading, but as we know we all share
the same back body part, and some people are just that body part so I do not
respond to them anymore. I have gotten enough positive feedback from those
that enjoy my posts so I will continue with what I think is pertinent
information and something you might want to know.
For amps he recorded with in the movie, he wasn't sure of one, said it was
either a Valco, or Gibson, probably one of those that gives the good studio
overdriven sound but you can't gig with, and also one of his favorites, a 59
narrow panel tweed Pro. Not many can push a large 15 inch speaker like Kim, so
he is not the norm, but the rarity. I have a single 15" Sano type amp that
does sound great, but not as full bodied as the Cruncher. There are only 11 left
for the holiday sale of both amps. To get a 410 for 1595 is right now your
last chance as I will be raising it to where both the Harpgear and Meteor are
selling theirs. I have more money into building mine due to the proprietary
custom hard shell finish. I know some use min wax and do a good job, but the
clear cannot get as hard as what we spray 4 coats over 4 coats of tint. I hope
some people find this information useful, Kim and I had another long talk
last night, and he is not satisfied with his Kinder AFB or the Harp Commander
as he listened back to himself. So I sent him a bunch of preamp tubes and my
410 manual so he can manipulate any 3 preamp amp like a Blues Deville or
reissue with my tubes swap system so he can get a more pure sound. Sincerely.
Sonny Jr.
