[Harp-L] cadilac records pure jive

I was very disapointed with this movie. kim wilson played great but muddys character didnt have the feel of muddy. And the way they they pictured him with a flowered doo rag was way out of character he looked like aunt jamima. muddy usually wore a black or grey doo rag and he always looked like a man and tough.muddy wasnt the one to smooth things out with chess artists that was probably willie dixon, chuck berry didnt ring true, they just tried to put too much stuff in one movie never really debveloped the characters Âleft otis spann out completely . the scene i really thought was wacked was when muddy , jimmy rogers and walter came into to the club and plugged there amps in and started playing at the same time as the other band , that would have never happened they were known as the head hunters because they would go around and sit in _when invited.and steal the show. the story about walter killing somebody that impersonated him sound s like pure bs . but i wouldnt put it past walter pull a gun and take the guys money. i wonder if he ever had some words with george smith or little sammy about impersonating him they both did that under his name. little walter didnt die in genevas arms (muddys wife ) and idont think there ever was anything between them. and muddys not the one that told walter not to use the amp i think that must have been the engineer in chess. they left phill chess out altogether. the great recordings werent done at chess studios they were done in
universal, bill putnam was the engineer then, the best character in the show was beonce she did a real good job portraying and singing like etta james , i also thought the guy that played wolf was fabulous
, there is another movie coming out in 2009 called chess i wonder what that one will be like?

thats my take on this movie
