Having tested both at some length in direct comparison I completely agree

Hohner changed the reed profiles on Classic models (Marine Bands, Sp. 20, Golden Melody) some years ago and they are now extremely durable as well as more responsive. The Fabulous is easily the most expensive series model harmonica on the market today, so it's going to need to last a very long time to be cheaper. You'll need to keep polishing the silver too, or it may tend to tarnish,
