I have recently read a lot about Charlie Spranklin. I thought I would add my comments. I've known Charlie for over 50 years. I've been amazed at all he has done to promote harmonica players and harmonica playing. His own talent goes without saying.

I've know many of the great players -- Jerry Murad, Don Lez, Al Fiori, The Madcaps, Johnny Puleo and so on but I can tell you that without a doubt and from the bottom of my heart, Charlie is the only one left alive. <G>

Charlie is quite a bit younger than the others. Alan (blackie) Schackner was 90 in Sept and still swimming every day. Charlie Leighton still runs a play along at his N.Y. apt and is almost 90. Ritchard Harman is almost 90 and lives here in Florida. I think there are quite a few others. Otherwise, I agree with you totally about Mr. Spranklin being a harmonica world treasure.

Best wishes, Charlie for the Holidays.
