I happen to enjoy the critical analysis - positive and negative. Yin/Yang,  
good/bad - one does not exist without the other. 
 
Personally, I learn not much about my own musicianship if  surrounded with 
those that praise exclusively. Criticism has always been a  source for growth - 
no pain, no gain, so to speak (IMO).
