Larry, when I read your message copied below it sounds like you are
asking John how can he blow bend if the harp is not valved.  It is
possible to blow bend a standard harp on holes 7 thru 10.  Blow on 7
thru 10, alter the shape of your mouth and the note lowers in pitch.
Bending is always lower than the pitch of the standard note.

Some people are capable of doing the high note blow bends, but they
mislabel them as overblows.  Overblows make standard notes higher in
pitch.

Perhaps I am misreading your question.  If you do not know how to high
note blow bend and want help, let us know.
