To all who customize,
Any suggestions as to where one can get screws to replace nails in Marine Band cover plates? What about replacing reedplate nails with screws? Any recommendations for outlets (mailorder/weborder) that specialize in the sizes needed for both?
Sorry if this question has been asked ad nauseum, I don't have time to scour the archives (well, I'm a bit lazy, too!)
Also, can any alternative reed plates be used in traditional non-MS series GMs, SP20s or MBs? Or, is one stuck replacing reeds as they go with spare parts from dead harps?
By the way, can someone just come out and say that Hohner is screwing us with their low quality harps? At least, they should make it easier for us to fix the crap they sell us! Like making reedplates available for non-MS harps--I got a suitcase full of those.
I suppose I could just stop buying 'em...but I've been playing MBs for 30+ years...(sigh)
