Denise asked: Is Hohner still holding World Harmonica Championships  
annually?

They never did hold them annually, at least not during the time I've  
been involved. This event has been held in Trossingen, Germany every  
4 years since 1989 and also took place in between at other locations  
for a couple of years (SPAH 1991 in Detroit, for example). We managed  
to change the name to World Harmonica Festival after TV crews showed  
up one time and started doing facetious and patronizing interviews  
with participants asking them who was the fastest. The next WHF will  
be taking place from October 28th - November 1st 2009 and will  
feature concert appearances of great harmonica artists in all styles  
as well as competitions, seminars and sessions. As soon as the  
website is up and the program is fixed I'll post the URL here, it's  
well worth a visit. Last time about 400 players from around the globe  
attended.
