I'm sure he's a groovy guy... And an excellent guitarist who influenced
among others... (Dang it!!) me... But it's like Steve Stills... Another big
influence on me... Saying what a Blues man he is. 
I guess you have to say something like that because nobody would stand still
long enough to listen to you saying how you were a Blues-influenced Rock
man!!
(Just doesn't have the same ring...)
