All scales have modes, and harmonic minor is no exception.
If you take A natural minor:
A B C D E F G
And raise the 7th degree of the scale you get
A B C D E F G#
Now, the fifth mode of this scale gives you
E F G# A B C D
Try playing this and you'll recognize something that sounds like flamenco, with the characteristic flat 2nd degree (F) and major 3rd degree (G#).
I haven't explored the modes of this scale in any detail, so I'll stop with that one obvious example.
