Re: [Harp-L] (no subject)

Hey Winslow,
Though I didn't catch the line, I certainly did notice your set. The jug band song was awesome, and especialy Todd's "jugg" bass playing. He used a tuba mouth piece played directly to the PA, and you would have sworn he had an actual jug up there. Winslow, your playing nothing short of GREAT. And as to the rest of your set, I'd never heard you cut out on straight-up electified blues before. Awesome job!!!
One player who has not been mentioned yet at the blow off was Steve Baker (who also played early in the evening). Good lord!!! That was some of hottest, most original in-your-face stuff I've ever heard.
There were so many awesome sets that night. Buzz rocked! JD Miller blew us all away. Peloquin pulverized us Jason kicked serious butt. Big night. Half the fun was getting re-acquainted with all my SPAH friends as we listend to this GREAT music. Awesome night. Awesome SPAH.

Buzz -

Looking forward to it, and promise to be on my best behavior (or, if not, I won't drag you into it) :)

As to the "Diamond Age," those who arrive at the blowoff early enough to hear my set may notice a line in one of my songs (from the golden age of jug bands) that addresses this topic obliquely . . . . .
