[Harp-L] 8/12 Harp Blowout - New Blood!

I also attended the blowout last night.  Even with all the awesome harp talent, I think the biggest treat of the evening was the music of the backing band, Jason Ricci's "New Blood."  Those guys are top-notch musicians and players.  Guitarist Shawn Starsky got as much applause as any of the harp players on stage (and rightly so).  Peloquin and others really threw some tricky tunes at New Blood, which they handled with no problems.  So check out New Blood when they come to your town.  I hear they have a pretty good harp player, too.  ;-)
 
Another bright spot was meeting and sharing a table with Greg Heumann and Bill Hines.  Hope to run into you guys at the late-night SPAH blues jams this week!
