I've mentioned that the Armando's House Band,
led by Jim Caroompas on guitar, is HOT. Here's a sample of Jim's
playing and of SFBayharper Danny White's playing posted as follows by
Steve Ahola on the Bay Area Blues Yahoo Group (thanks, Steve!). It features
Caroompas doing "Have You Ever Loved A Woman" with Steve Ahola on second guitar, Kennan Shaw on bass, Danny White on harp, Mark Thompson on keyboards and Donna Ozawa on drums:

Danny also owns Good Stuff Guitar Shop in Martinez and co-sponsors our
quarterly meet-and-greet sessions as well as running the monthly blues
jams at Armando's. He'll provide a back line of boutique guitar and
harp amps to augment the fine house sound system. Oh, I think Kennan
Shaw played bass on some tunes at the last jam, too.
The esteemed Mark Fenichel
and Winslow Yerxa will be there and we're hoping for one or two other
surprise guests, too. More reasons not to miss this 2nd meet-and-greet
session!
Signups for the jam start at 6:30 and music runs from 7 to 10. It's all happening at Armando's, 707 Marina Vista, Martinez. Their Web site:

Bring friends!
Oh,
and Jim and Danny's band the Very Bad Boys plays blues, R&B and
soul at Armando's from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday. Best show in town and they
always fill the place so get there early. $8 cover, or $15 for two.
Thanks!
