[Harp-L] AKG WMS40/SO40 Wireless Low Output

I'll post here since I know a number of you have these units. I had been
using it a while back just fine, but got away from it, well dusted it
back off and tried it a few times in the last year and found that the
output is very, very low as far as sound. Almost can't hear it at all. I
tried various amps, both the unbalanced 1/4" and XLR outputs on the
back, various mics, etc. I know the receiver can talk to the SO40
transmitter because it picks it up when I turn the transmitter on and
selects the proper antenna and all.

So I'm not sure if it's the receiver or transmitter. I have the
frequency color of light green, sort of like a mint color (not sure what
freq that is). But I've made sure there is a fresh battery in the
transmitter, tried this in a few locations, etc. I can definitely hear
some output from the amp or PA but it's just barely registering.

Anyone seen this before, or know where I can discuss this problem
elsewhere? I guess I'll see if AKG has a discussion board on their site.

When is someone going to come up with a good wireless solution for harp
mics, both Lo-z and Hi-z? I think these SO40 lo-z ones and the guitar
bugs are getting scarce anyway. I guess there's sennheiser but I think
they're very expensive.

If anyone's found a good wireless solution (please don't say "hohner
hoodoo"), let's have it!
