I don't know, John, but I think that's why he
abandoned harmonica reeds and went to spoons. He
probably realized he was a bad spoons player too and
found that bending spoons got him a lot more
attention. I don't think the spoons were made of
phosphor bronze or stainless steel or they would have
sprung back.
