Re: [Harp-L] Custom Harmonicas-----Is it worth it?

I can second that. When Neil came to North America on a visit a few years back, he laid on me a customized Marine Band in C and and MS harp with his custom wood comb in A. Both were fantastic harps. Not for overblows, but (for me) for acoustic playing. They delivered huge amounts of energy at any playing volume, and could be played amazingly loudly.

When Tony came to SPAH a few years later, he let me try the harp he had brought that reflected further development in Neil's craft, and I was again very gratified to experience how much Neil had further refined his craft since I'd first met him.
