Subject: [Harp-L] What do you want to be called?

Given my complete loss of air (absolute fright) the moment I'm in front of
an audience, I'd be happy, indeed perfectly content if people said: "That was
nice", while nodding approvingly.

Nice is good. Nice is great in fact.

It would mean I'd played the song to my best emotional ability without
choking or dissolving into a puddle. What more can one ask for? ;)

Apart from that and onto the 'nick-name' theme...I was 'wee yin' (little
one) growing up in Scotland since I was very small until I had a growth spurt
from 11 - 14...and wee yin stuck (with my siblings). Arriving in New York I
was promptly dubbed Scotty by my new friends, and I've been Scotty ever since.

P.S. "MR" Mojo? ahem
PPS. This might not be as 'sexy' as Jimi Hendrix, but if I could play even
one passage with as much passion as gloriously as Midori Goto does here I'd
be a happy camper....

I got in on the Chromatic discussion at the end and my comments died at the
end so I thought I would get a new discussion started.

Here is a question for all of you:

What would you like to be called by your fans?

A Monster Player
The Jimmy Hendrix of Harmonica
A Tasteful Player
Subtle
A Minimalist
Incredible Tone
An Emotional Player
Mr Mojo
Technically Excellent
Musical
Fun to Listen To

Pick one of my choices or make up your own. I guess I am wondering what is
important to you and our audiences. And which is more important.

Thanks,

Derwood
