[Harp-L] Renaissance owner needs help; other stuff
Hello all, I've been a lurker for more than ten years. I've learned so
much over the years from many of you. Thank you. And, owing to this
great list, I have become good friends with one Scott Gold, who now
resides up the tracks a bit from me here in Japan. .
I put my chromatics away a few years ago, foregoing the study and
playing of jazz for the study and playing of pre-war and "old blues"
diatonic. Now, I'm ready to dive back into the chrome. My main harp, my
Renny #27, is working flawlessly but I need a tuning job and, just to
be safe, would like to have another set of reed plates. Problem is
that I'm totally out of the loop and have lost all contact info for
people. I would be very grateful if any Renny owners or perhaps Bobbie
Giordano would contact me off-list (or on-list) and point me in the
right direction for my needs.
It was so nice to see Winslow talk about playing blues in B on a C
chrome. I've been doing that for about 10 years and it is a very nice
key for the blues on the C chrome, though I often use a B chromatic
played in Bb.
