I had the pleasure of hearing Gary and his band many years ago in Burlington 
Iowa. Yes the blues goes to all places. He was an outstanding performer and 
very gracious. I talked briefly with him on a break. I asked for advice and he 
said the hand tremelo was not to be underestimated. I put his advice to good 
use ever since. I will always remember his kindness and immeasurable skill.
