This is true. If you play chords on a piano tuned to JI and  compared them to 
the same ones played on ET, you would find the chords on the JI  piano sound 
warmer and fuller.
 
Downside is that JI will give you some keys in which the chords sound lush  
and wonderful while other keys will give you terribly grating sounding  chords.
 
The whole idea behind ET on piano is the ability to play in all keys with  
acceptable sounding chords - not the BEST or WARMEST, but the most  acceptable.
